Several years ago, I experienced being unemployed and having nothing to do but stay at home, living a happy-go-lucky life while depending on my sisterโs financial support from abroad. I had already graduated from college, but I kept telling myself I could find work anytime since jobs would always be available. However, I was wrong because having a degree alone is not enough; work experience is just as important. Back then, I was too complacent, thinking that I could survive without working, but as I grew older, I realized the disadvantages of being unemployed for a long time.
When I finally understood the importance of having a job, I started applying for different positions. I faced multiple rejections, especially for jobs related to my degree, but I kept pushing forward until I finally got hired. Right now, I may not be working in a field related to my course, but what matters is that I have a job and earn a living. I still hope that one day, I will find a career that truly aligns with my passion. Nothing is impossible as long as I continue to dream and strive hard.
I want to share something that happens to me every time I apply for a job, which feels almost like magic. Whenever Iโm in the job-hunting process, I always get a pimple on my ear. Strangely enough, whenever this happens, I end up getting hired. I donโt know if itโs just a coincidence, but throughout my life, I've noticed this peculiar sign every time Iโve been accepted for a job. However, the downside is that I never seem to stay in one job for long, usually lasting only six months to a year before resigning.
Despite this pattern, I remain hopeful that my next job acceptance wonโt require a pimple on my ear as a sign. Instead, I want to get hired based purely on my hard work and determination. More importantly, I hope to find stability and stay in my next job for many years or even forever. Life has taught me that perseverance is key, and while superstitions and coincidences may seem real, in the end, success comes from dedication and effort.
This experience has been a reminder that while signs and coincidences can be amusing, our actions ultimately shape our future. No matter how many pimples I get or how many jobs I change, I will keep pushing forward in search of the right career path. Every challenge I face is a lesson, and every opportunity I receive is a step closer to my ultimate goal of career stability and fulfillment.
